Pete Stokes - Head Coach
Coach Stokes graduated from Stamford Catholic High School in 1985. He lettered in football, baseball and hockey and was captain of all three sports his senior year. He was the quarterback of the 1984 FCIAC Champion Crusader team that beat Wilton for the title. Coach Stokes went on to play football and was Captain of the baseball team at Plymouth State College in Plymouth, New Hampshire where he graduated with a B.S. in Physical Education. This is Coach Stokes 18th year as a high school football coach. He had two previous coaching stops, one at Masuk High School and the other at Norwalk High, before returning home to his alma mater. Coach Stokes works for the City of Stamford and resides in Stamford with his wife Mary Ellen and their four children, Alexis, Jack, Olivia and Rachel.
Joe Claps - Offensive Coordinator, Quarterbacks/Defensive Backs
Coach Claps graduated from Trinity Catholic in 1996 where he played baseball for four years, earning All-FCIAC honors senior year. Joe went on to earn a degree in economics from the University of Connecticut and a Master's degree in elementary education from Sacred Heart University. Coach Claps' most recent coaching stint was as the offensive coordinator for St. Gabriel's. He has also coached the National Lione Little League baseball team to three straight league titles and two City of Stamford Little League Championships. Joe teaches sixth grade math at Cloonan Middle School and lives in Springdale with his wife Christina and baby daughter Julia Rose who was born Sept. 13, 2010.
Coach Font's most recent coaching stint was with the Glenbrook Titians for two years and last year was an Assistant Coach for the Freshmen Team. He graduated from Stamford Catholic in 1982 after playing for the '81 city championship team. He continued his education at UB before earning a Master's degree in TESOL from Fairfield University. He is an ESL teacher at Stark School in Stamford. Raul lives in Stamford with his wife Nancy and 2 daughters Haley and Sophia.
Steve Bedosky – Special Teams/Scouting
Coach Bedosky is a 2002 graduate of Trinity Catholic and won the 2002 Mickey Lione Scholarship for Youth Excellence. A three-year starter on the offensive line and at place kicker, he continued kicking and punting for Denison University in Granville, Ohio, where he also holds the record in the hammer throw. He returned to TCHS in 2006 and currently coaches the special teams and helps coordinate the advance scouting. In addition to football, he has also coached in the National Lione Little League as an assistant to Joe Claps in 2007. A Stamford resident, he works in the Executive Liability Department for York International Agency in Yonkers, NY and is currently pursuing his CPCU designation.
Jim O'Leary - Wide Receivers/Outside Linebackers
Coach O'Leary graduated from Trinity Catholic in 2003. He was a wide receiver and outside backer for the Crusaders, also playing basketball and baseball for four years, captaining each of them his senior year. After Catholic he went on to Williams College where he played two years of baseball and four years of football as a tight end. Making the All-NESCAC team his junior and senior year he helped the Ephs to an undefeated football season in 2006. He graduated in 2007 with a degree in Political Science. Jim is in his second season coaching with the Crusaders working with linebackers and wide receivers. He currently lives and works in Stamford at Access Securities, Inc.
Donald "Donny" Panapada, Jr. - Varsity Assistant Coach
Donald "Donny" Panapada Jr. graduated from Catholic High in 1993. He was a 3 year starter for Coach Albonizio on the offensive and defensive line. He began his coaching career at TCHS in 1994 where he remained through the 1996 season. In 1997, he rejoined Coach Albonizio with at Greenwich where he coached the offensive line until 2002. During his tenure, the Cardinals would win the FCIAC Title in 2001 and 2002, while earning a Class LL State Champion in 1999. Donny is the President of Stone Made Simple, LLC. He lives in Stamford with his wife, Melinda, and children, Madison and Victoria.
Rob Dombrowski — JV Assistant Coach
Coach Dombrowski returns to the Green & Gold after playing in college at Pace for the 2008 season. He is an assistant coach with the Freshmen team under Coach DeVito. From 2004-2008 he played tight end and defensive end for the Crusaders. He was named to the all fciac team his senior year. He is currently pursuing a degree in Nutritional Science at Sacred Heart University. Rob currently lives in Norwalk.
Ryan Reed - Freshman Coach
Ryan Reed graduated from Trinity Catholic High School in 2007. After transferring into the school before his junior year, he contributed as a guard, linebacker, and punter for the Green & Gold. He is currently enrolled at the University of Connecticut where he is pursuing a degree in economics. He lives in Stamford.
Peggy Feldt - Certified Athletic Trainer
Peggy graduated from Wallkill Senior High School (Wallkill, NY) in 1996, where she was a 4 year varsity starter in soccer (All-MHAL, Co MVP), 3 year varsity starter in basketball, and a 2 year member of the track team. She graduated from Sacred Heart University, in 2000, where she majored in Human Movement and Sports Science (Athletic Training), while also playing 4 years for the women's soccer team. Peggy attended grad school at Southern Connecticut State University, receiving her master's degree in Human Performance (Exercise Science). She has been the athletic trainer for Trinity Catholic since the winter of the 2003-04 school year and is responsible for the well being of all sports at Trinity. Peggy is associated with Moore Physical Therapy (www.moorept.com), where she provides a full body stretching program to clients in the company's Darien location. She currently resides in Norwalk.
