As a group of volunteers communally organized around our belief in God, Family, and Football we fulfill the need to help support the Crusader football program. Our members and Board are comprised of Parents, Alumni, and Friends of the Football program, just like you. This website will contain facts, stories, pictures and other useful information regarding Catholic Football. HISTORY:
In December of 1995, the First Down Club was formed as a way to demonstrate support of the TCHS football program. The objective was to form a club for all interested alumni and friends of SCHS/TCHS football to keep in touch. In April of 1996, our initial First Down Club function was organized. At the get together was Coach Anzalone, Coach Lione, Coach Slavinsky, along with many former and current football players. It was a huge success and it was the foundation for our club.
In July of 1996, we held our First Annual FDC golf outing. The event was a sellout and we have continued to hold our annual golf outing every year. This and the membership dues continue to be our main source of funds. The money raised by the FDC is used to support upgrades to the football field, football equipment and facilities.
In an effort to become more effective we continue to update our membership list and plan several fundraising events for the future. The current FDC Board of Directors was formed to follow through on this initiative. We are dedicated to enhancing the communication among the FDC members. We need your support to fulfill the FDC goals and commitments for the future. First Down Club Mission Statement
The club members consist of former players, coaches, alumni, and friends of SCHS/TCHS Football. Through the team efforts of our members, the FDC strives to support the football programs needs and enhance the overall quality of current and future TCHS teams. The FDC will focus its efforts on insuring an atmosphere of a positive, productive, and responsible image of TCHS and its football program.
